Design Checklists - PE Theory Rooms

Things to consider:

• How will the teaching space be used alongside the hall and outdoor pitches?
• Do you require direct access or views of the sports halls for performance analysis work?
• If you are a sports college consider how this space can also support your community development plan and school sports partnership work - can it be used for seminars, sports related meetings etc.?

Do incorporate ICT such as whiteboards, hardware and software for recording and analysing performance, laptops and/or PDS for inputting data in the classroom, hall and out on the pitches.

Do provide tea/coffee provision where possible to allow space to be used for sports related meetings and seminars.

Don't specify a generic classroom - it can easily be taken over by another subject and won't inspire your students!
