Stakeholders

Each BSF school and local authority must consult stakeholders as part of the process. If the aim is to create transformational change when it is vital that the right people are engaged in the programme.

Who might be involved? Here is just a selection of the many partners, stakeholders and interested parties that could be engaged in the process. As well as bringing an additional perspective, specialised advice and support, they may also be able to draw in additional funding to secure 'added value' facilities and programmes such as public Libraries, Artists in Residence, GP referral programmes and co- children's centres

As part of the BSF process it is now a requirement for local authorities to establish a PE Sport Stakeholder Group. Some local authorities are widening the remit of this group to also encompass cultural provision. For an introduction to the role and responsibilities of the group and recommendations for who should be represented click here http://www.p4s.org.uk/documents/Design/PfS_FactsheetPEandSport4.pdf Ê
